For Vrishabha Sankranti sixteen Ghatis before the Sankranti moment are considered Shubh and the time window of sixteen Ghati before Sankranti to Sankranti is taken for all Dan-Punya activities.
During Vrishabha Sankranti gifting cow also known as Godan is considered highly auspicious.
