World Environment Day is celebrated every year on 5 June to indicate the utility and importance of the environment for life and to spread awareness about it. The first World Environment Day was celebrated on 5 June 1973. The natural conditions and components present around us are known as the environment. The environment has a wide impact on not only human life but also on the life of every living being. The life cycle of all living beings including humans is dependent on various sources of environment. At present, the environment has been irreparably damaged due to increasing population, pollution, temperature, and exploitation of natural resources.
If environmental protection is not done at the right time, then its widespread adverse effects can be seen in the future. Wildlife also has a very important role in maintaining the environment's balance. But due to violence against wildlife by humans, wildlife has come under threat today, because of which results like climate change can come to the fore.
Therefore, through World Environment Day, different countries of the whole world are made alert and aware towards the environment and important points related to environmental protection are considered.
