Shrimati Jahnava Devi Appearance 1768

Shrimati Jahnava Devi (appearance time is unknown), was wife of Shri Nityananda Prabhu. Jahnava Devi was the younger daughter of Shri Suryadasa Sarakhela, lived in Shaligrama. According to the Gaudiya Vaishnava Abhidhana, her mother's name was Bhadravati. Suryadas Sarakhela was a dear devotee of Nityananda and Gauranga.

Jahnava Devi herself had no sons, but Nityananda's Shakti Vasudha Devi gave birth to Virabhadra (or Virachandra) Goswami and Ganga Devi, who are the incarnations of Kshirodakashayi Vishnu and the river Ganges, respectively.
