Shri Ramanujacharya Disappearance 2015

Shri Ramanujacharya (1017-1137 C.E.) was Indian theologian, philosopher and one of the most important exponents of the Shri Vaishnavism tradition within Hinduism.

His parents were Asuri Keshava and Kantimati, both from aristocratic families. Rumanja passed his childhood days in the village of Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu. At the age of 16 he was married to Rakshakambal.

Ramanuja's philosophical foundation was qualified monism, and is called Vishishtadvaita in the Hindu tradition.

Some of Ramanuja's literary contributions are Vedartha-Sangraha, Shri Bhasya, Gita-Bhasya, Vedanta-Dipa, Vedanta-Sara, Saranagati-Gadya and Shri Ranga-Gadya, Shri Vaikuntha-Gadya, Nitya-Grantha.
