Shri Ramananda Raya (1566 circa), lived in the Indian state of Odisha during the latter part of the 15th century to around the middle part of the 16th century CE.
His Father was Bhavananda Raya. Their family belonged to the noted Odia Kayastha community. Bhavananda had five sons, the eldest of which was Ramananda.
Ramananda was the Governor of East and West Godavari and a minister of King Prataparudra. A great statesman of that period, Ramananda was also a poet and a scholar.
Shri Ramananda Raya disappeared after the disappearance of Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.
