Ashwina Purnima is the seventh Purnima in the year according to Hindu lunar calendar which falls in the Sharada Ritu and it comes after Pitru Paksha and Sharada Navratri. According to Skanda Purana, on this day, the Lord Chandra shines with all His sixteen Kala(s).
