Lord Kalki Origin

In the 12th canto of Srimad Bhagavata Mahapurana, the incarnation of Lord Kalki is confirmed through the following verse,

Sambhalagramamukhyasya Brahmanasya Mahatmanah।
Bhavane Vishnuyashasah Kalkih Pradurbhavishyati॥

In other words, there will be a Brahman Vishnuyasha in a village called Shambhala. He will be a compassionate and a devout man. That virtuous Brahman, Vishnuyasha, and his wife will become the parents of Lord Kalki.

According to a description found in Kalki Purana, Lord Kalki will accept Lord Parashurama as his Guru and will be trained in the art of warfare under His guidance. Thereafter, Lord Kalki will perform penance to Lord Shiva and receive divine weapons as boon from Him. Sage Yajnavalkya will be the priest of Lord Kalki.

A detailed description of Lord Kalki's birth is found in Kalki Purana, which states that, at the end of the Kaliyuga and beginning of Satya Yuga, a Brahman called Vishnuyasha will live in a village named Shambhala. He will be married to a woman named Sumati. Vishnuyasha and Sumati will be a religious and pious couple. Lord Kalki will incarnate as their son. He will also have three brothers, who will be known in the world as Sumanta, Prajna and Kavi. Lord Kalki will become versed in various religious texts including Veda and Purana in His young age and will be renowned in world as a great scholar.

Thereafter, to liberate all living beings from the sufferings and afflictions of Kali Yuga, Lord Kalki will worship Lord Shiva and receive the knowledge of weaponry from Him. Subsequently, Lord Kalki, along with His three brothers, will re-establish Dharma.

Lord Kalki will be married to Padma Devi, the daughter of Brihadratha. His second wife will be Rama Devi, who has been waiting to marry Him in the form of Vaishno Devi. Through His two wives, He will have four sons, named Jai, Vijay, Meghmala and Balahaka. Lord Kalki will ride a horse and slaughter His enemies with a sword. His horse will be called Devadatta. He will possess divine weapons that include His swords Nandaka and Ratnatsaru, bow Saranga, mace Kumaudiki and conch Panchajanya.

In the Kalki Avatara, Lord Kalki will ride a chariot named Jayatra and Garudi. His charioteer will be Daruka. This way, Lord Kalki will incarnate on Earth for the welfare of humanity.
