The seventh manifestation of Goddess Lakshmi is worshipped in the form of Vijaya Lakshmi. Vijaya Lakshmi is also called Jaya Lakshmi. The worship of Goddess Vijaya Lakshmi blesses Her devotees with victory in every aspect of life. Goddess Vijaya Lakshmi also demolishes every hurdle that obstructs the path of victory in a battlefield or success in life.

In ancient times, kings and emperors would receive blessings from Goddess Vijaya Lakshmi before departing for the battlefield. It is also advised to worship Goddess Vijaya Lakshmi to attain victory in legal matters and lawsuits. The blessings of Goddess Vijaya Lakshmi protect Her devotees from any harm inflicted even by their fiercest enemies.

Vijaya Lakshmi Iconography

Goddess Vijaya Lakshmi is depicted in the Ashtabhuja Rupa, i.e., eight-armed form, donning red garments and seated on a lotus flower. The Goddess carries a conch, a discus, a sword, a shield, a lotus flower and a noose in Her six arms, while Her remaining two arms are raised in Abhaya Mudra, i.e., fear-dispelling and Varada Mudra, i.e., boon-giving gestures.
