Among the 32 principal forms of Lord Ganesha, Bhakta Ganapati is worshipped as the third form. This form of Lord Ganesha represents the four Purusharthas of human life, namely Dharma, i.e., righteousness, Artha, i.e., wealth, Kama, i.e., desire and Moksha, i.e., liberation. Therefore, by worshipping this form of Lord Ganesha, a person easily attains all four Purusharthas. The beautiful form of Lord Bhakta Ganapati is believed to bestow happiness and prosperity upon His beloved devotees.

Lord Bhakta Ganapati is extremely devoted to His devotees and always works for their welfare. Shri Bhakta Ganapati removes all obstacles and difficulties from the lives of devotees and blesses them with happiness, prosperity and good fortune. He dearly loves His devotees and devotees love Him in return; hence this form of Lord Ganesha is known as Bhakta Ganapati.
According to traditional beliefs, during the agricultural season, farmers worship the Bhakta Ganapati form of Lord Ganesha. Such worship is believed to result in excellent agricultural yield. Lord Ganesha is affectionate towards His devotees and fulfills all their wishes. Therefore, devotees worship Bhakta Ganapati for the fulfillment of their desires.
Bhakta Ganapati is also known by the name Bhakti Ganapati.
Shri Bhakta Ganapati is depicted in His Chaturbhuja Rupa, i.e., with four arms and a white complexion also called Shweta Varna. According to descriptions found in religious scriptures, His complexion radiates with a brilliance similar to the Chandra on the day of Purnima. In His four lotus-like hands, Lord Bhakta Ganapati holds a coconut, mango, banana and a bowl of Payasa, that is, Kheer.
Shri Bhakta Ganapati is another form of Lord Ganesha, and therefore His family is the same as that of Lord Ganesha. His father is Lord Shiva and His mother is Goddess Parvati. Lord Kartikeya is His brother and Ashoka Sundari is His sister.

Meaning - "I meditate upon and worship Bhakta Ganapati, who holds coconut, mango, banana, jaggery, and Payasa, i.e., Kheer in His lotus-like hands, whose form is radiant and luminous like the full moon of the autumn season, who is exceedingly beautiful, gentle, and the Lord of devotees."
