  1. Surya Ravivara Vrat Katha - The Ravivara Vrat is observed to please Lord Surya. Here the story of a cow that gives golden dung is narrated which is read and heard during the Surya Ravivara Vrat. Apart from Surya Ravivara Vrat, Kalabhairava Vrat is also observed on this day. Fasting on this day gives good health and wellbeing.
  2. Chandra Somavara Vrat Katha - Somavara Vrat is mainly dedicated to Lord Chandra. But on this day, Lord Shiva is also worshipped. The story of Lord Chandra receiving a boon from Lord Shiva is narrated which is also known as Chandra Somavara Vrat Katha. A fast of Lord Shiva is also observed on this day. Somavara Vrat provides relief from mental ailments.
  3. Bhauma Mangalavara Vrat Katha - The Mangalavara Vrat or Bhaumavara Vrat is dedicated to Bhumi Putra Lord Mangala. The Mangalavara Vrat Katha related to Nandaka Brahmin and the girl who emitted gold is given. Hanumana Mangalavara Vrat and Murugan Mangalavara Vrat are also observed on this day. This fast results in courage and strength.
  4. Budha Budhavara Vrat Katha - The Budhavara Vrat is dedicated to Lord Budha, one of the Navagraha. The Budhavara Vrat Katha is narrated based on a stubborn husband who brings his newly-wed wife on Wednesday and its adverse consequences. Fasting on this day brings auspicious results related to the Budha Graha. Shri Ganesha Budhavara Vrat is also observed on this day.
  5. Brihaspati Brihaspativara Vrat Katha - On this day, worship and fasting is done for Devaguru Brihaspati. Here, the story of a miserly Sethani who never donated is narrated which is heard and read on Thursday fast. On this day, Shri Vishnu Brihaspativara Vrat is also observed.
  6. Shukra Shukravara Vrat Katha - This day is ruled by Lord Shukra among the Navagraha. On this day, Lord Shukra is worshipped and fast is observed. Here the story of Lord Shukra, an old woman and her daughter-in-law is described which is recited and heard during the fast of Shukra Deva. Apart from Lord Shukra, Santoshi Mata Shukravara Vrat and Vaibhava Lakshmi Shukravara Vrat are also observed on this day.
  7. Shani Shanivara Vrat Katha - Lord Shani is considered very important among the nine planets. The story of Lord Shanideva and King Vikramaditya, which is read and heard during the Shanivara Vrat, is narrated. Shanivara Vrat is observed to obtain auspicious results related to Lord Shani. Apart from this, Maa Kali Shanivara Vrat is also observed on this day.
  8. Rahu-Ketu Shanivara Vrat Katha - In Navagraha Mandala, Rahu and Ketu are known as Chhaya Graha. A story related to the Samudra Manthan is described in connection with the Rahu-Ketu Shanivara Vrat. Observing this fast helps in alleviating various types of Doshas caused by Rahu and Ketu.
